A booking system for busy Rawalpindi clinics
Most Rawalpindi clinics run on walk-ins and phone calls, and that is not going to change overnight. Showup puts walk-ins, phone bookings and online bookings on one schedule, so the register and the phone stop disagreeing.
The everyday problem
Walk-ins and bookings collide
In a busy clinic in Saddar or Satellite Town, a walk-in takes the slot a booked patient was promised, and both end up waiting.
The register only lives at the desk
When the doctor wants to know tomorrow’s list, someone has to read it off the register or send a photo of the page.
Patients from outside the city
Patients travelling in from nearby towns plan the journey a day ahead. If they cannot come, there is no easy way for them to tell you.
How it works at the desk
- 01
Walk-ins in two taps
Reception adds a walk-in or a phone booking straight onto the doctor’s column. The database refuses an overlapping appointment, so a slot cannot be given twice.
- 02
The schedule on any phone
Showup runs in the browser on a computer or a phone, so the doctor can see the day’s list without calling the desk.
- 03
A one-reply cancellation
The reminder lets a patient reply 2 to cancel. The freed slot is offered again, to the next caller or the next walk-in.
From sign-up to a full schedule in four steps
- 01
Set up your clinic
Add your practitioners, their weekly hours and breaks, time off, and your services with how long each takes.
- 02
Share your booking link
Patients open it on their phone, choose a service, a practitioner or anyone available, and a free time. No app, no account.
- 03
Patients get WhatsApp messages
A confirmation when they book, then a reminder before the visit in English or Urdu. They reply 1 to confirm or 2 to cancel.
- 04
Reception runs the day
A schedule with a column per practitioner, phone bookings and walk-ins, seen and no-show in one tap, and a recall list for patients due back.

Rawalpindi: common questions
01Most of our patients walk in. Is online booking still worth it?
You do not have to choose. Walk-ins and phone bookings go on the same schedule as online bookings, and reminders go to every booked patient however they booked. Online booking simply adds a way in that does not need the phone.
02Does reception need a computer?
No. Showup works in any modern browser on a computer or a phone, and can be added to the phone’s home screen.
03What happens if a patient does not have WhatsApp?
Reception can still book them, by phone or at the desk. Reminders are sent on WhatsApp only; SMS reminders are not available.
